  Food:

To this end we teach villagers about good nutrition and what constitutes a balanced diet illustrating it with the foods available in their local context. We teach mothers how to prepare food for malnourished children using grains and nuts found in their locality. While teaching, we clearly demonstrate the relationship between nutrition and the health of an individual and communities as a whole. We encourage women to set up small vegetable gardens in their backyards to help them eat healthy and cut costs. We also teach farmers on best practices and farming techniques that will guarantee maximum yields. We also provide irrigation kits for dry season farming. We encourage farmers to use organic manure/compost on their farms (and teach them how to compose it) so as to reduce reliance on inorganic fertilizers that are hazardous to human health.
