  Income Generation:

In order to help solve the poverty issues prevalent in most rural communities, we set up skills acquisition centers in some villages to help women and young people acquire skills with which they can generate some income for themselves and their families. Foremost of the skills we teach is tailoring and knitting in our tailoring centers, and geared particularly towards improving the lot of the women who do not do anything else other than being farm hands on their husband's farms during the rainy season.

During the dry season of November to June in North-West Nigeria, the women stay idle at home and fully dependant on their husbands for sustenance. The centers afford rural women the opportunity of learning how to sew for themselves, their children and also sew for others to generate some income. We also teach beads and wirework making and soap making. We set up entrepreneurship classes for young people in larger towns where we find that most of them are unemployed. Several skills like printing, painting, artwork, soap making, cream making, bead work, bag and shoe making, inverter and solar energy systems among others are taught. We have a total of 4 Centers, one each in Gusau, Tadurga, Dogongada and Algamusu.

We also provide what we call the 'goat loan' to indigent women and widows to help them rear goats for sale. The loan is repayable within 3 years, not by cash, but by young goats which revolves to others in need.

We initiate community projects that is capable of generating resources and employment. One of such is the garri processing machines we set up in Ezza, Ebonyi State.
